I've always been a dreamer. There are days when I overwhelm myself and want to let go of hopes and dreams because I start feeling discouraged. I often have to be reminded that God is a great creator who loves dreams! He loves giving dreams and making the unimaginable happen! He loves using us! So, this post is for my fellow dreamers who may have stopped dreaming or may be ready to give up on your dreams.
To my single friends: your life doesn't start when you get married and have children. Your life has already begun. God has put breath in your lungs to do something BIG today. So, go forth and Dream! Do great things with the talents and giftings God has given you. Don't wait on the right man to come and complete you. You are now made complete by the blood of Jesus alone. Trust God, that in his perfect timing, he will put a wonderful man in your life who will join you in your journey.
Don't put your hopes and dreams on hold. Your hope is in the Lord always! Dream BIG!
To my mommy friends: your life doesn't end at mommy-hood. Motherhood is the most sleep depriving and rewarding experiences of my life. I never thought another person could make me cry so many tears of joy and pride (and exhaustion). There's nothing like it. But one day, they will eventually grow up and have hopes and dreams of their very own. They will leave the warm cozy homes we have created for them to fulfill their own callings.
There is a world out there with many lonely broken hearts who need you to be everything God wants you to be. They need you to share your story of redemption, healing, and freedom. They need you to you hold their hand, give them big hugs, and tell them that God has a purpose for them too! So, keep dreaming, friends! God has placed those dreams in you not to be forgotten or disregarded, but to use them to glorify him.
So, don't stop dreaming, Mommies. I beg you! On behalf of the Body of Christ (The Church), We need your dreams. We need your insight. We need your words, visions and your hope. We need your ideas and love, your wisdom and nurturing soul. The Church needs your courage and your strength, your love for God's Word and your ability to teach it. We need your willingness to be awakened in the middle of the night to pray. We need your songs and your voice. The Church needs your hands that are lifted up to Jesus with us, and your feet to move with us when the Holy Spirit says "GO!"
So, ladies: don't stop dreaming of ways to glorify our Lord and don't stop asking God to bring those dreams into reality. You were created in the image of a holy God whose word says that you have been called according to His purpose.

Colossians 2:10 (NASB) - and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;

Genesis 1:27(NIV) - So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
